The Mothers Union
The Mothers’ Union (MU) is a Christian organisation concerned with marriage and family life.
At present there are 3.6 million members worldwide who are supported by a network of volunteers who generously give of their time to help others, whether by running local projects or by supporting international campaigns. The MU trains and supports financially over 300 workers from around the world, drawn from local dioceses who speak the local languages, understand the local culture and customs, know the problems which face their communities and are able to provide vital leadership.
In the Diocese of Aberdeen & Orkney there are four MU branches:-

St James’ Branch, Holburn Junction Aberdeen

St Mary on the Rock, Ellon, Aberdeenshire.
This year, 2007, the MU in Aberdeen celebrates its’ 70th Anniversary and will be holding a Flower Festival, in St Andrew’s Cathedral on the 10th & 11th August.
